Race
Looking for a new challenge for the year 2024? Have a New Year’s Resolution to run/exercise more? Let this be you first race of the year. The 5 mile Ruck Run features ruck inspired challenges (squats, lunges, jumping jacks, etc) to amp up the fun and fitness with the proceeds benefitting the Gadsden Young Life Ministries.

Event Details

  • 5 mile trail run with body and pack exercises along the course
  • Participants are to provide your own ruck/backpack (we will provide the bricks, bubble wrap, and duct tape)
  • Females: 2 bricks, Males: 3 bricks (no weighted vests, runners must carry a pack)
  • 5 challenging but achievable exercise events for all skill levels
  • We will provide 1 water bottle before the race (no water stations on the course)
  • Participants must return to the finish line with all bricks and the water bottle
  • Dogs are allowed to run with the participant (Noccalula Falls rules must be followed)

 

Awards

  • Cash prize for 1st place overall female and male
  • Top 3 overall men and women
  • Top winners in the 17 and under age group
  • Master’s Division (40-49)
  • Grandmaster’s Division (50+)
