XTERRA Coldwater Mountain

Race number 5 of The 2018-2019 XTERRA Alabama Trail Run Series presented by Black Squirrel Events will be held on Saturday January 19th, 2019 at beautiful Coldwater Mountain.

BSE Mountain Bike Series: The Black Squirrel Mountain Bike Series Event will start after the run at 11:00am

Course Description:

Distance Options 15K or 8K on the trails at Coldwater Mountain Upper Trailhead. Roughly 40 miles from Birmingham, Alabama, near the towns of Anniston and Oxford, Coldwater Mountain serves up a growing network of trails built specifically for mountain biking but offers recreation of all sorts, including trail running. The 4,000-acre land tract was bought in the late 1990s by Alabama’s Forever Wild organization—a land preservation program—and is managed by the state.

Awards:

Medals and prizes will be awarded to our overall top 3 Male and Female finishers for each race along with top Male and Female Masters 40-49 and Grand Masters 50 +. We will also be handing out medals to our top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70&U). Age based on December 31, 2019 Birth date

Chip Timing:

Disposable and reusable RFID chip timing from ChronoTrack by Race Krewe.

Packet pickup:

The morning of the race starting at 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. at Coldwater Mountain. Race starts at 8:00 a.m.

Entry Fees:

Includes soft cotton race t-shirt – subject to availability for race day registrations.Chance to win a Special Edition XTERRA Alabama Rtic 20 Cooler on Race Day and at the Series Finale at Cheaha State Park. Preregistration 15K Trail Run $40 / Race Day Registration $45. Preregistration 8K Trail Run $35 / Race Day Registration $40.
