THE STORY
This race honors Adam Harris, resident of Jacksonville, AL, and mail carrier in Gadsden, AL, who was in a car accident at no fault of his own on October 21, 2017, and passed a few days later on October 24, 2017. He had become an avid runner to begin his health journey in order to be there for his two daughters and in turn joined GRC. We honor him at this event by running here on earth whilst he’s running with Christ.

Proceeds go to the organization closest to his heart: Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Adam’s father was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease, ultimately taking his life just six years before Adam on October 21, 2011. Huntington’s Disease is described as having ALS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s – simultaneously.
